About Me

My photo
I am in love with and intrigued by the story and plight of the black community. Learning is my passion and I intend to use my passion to show the community that I love ways to effect positive change in their lives as well as others.

Job Market

People are screaming for work, any kind of work. Several members of Congress are opposed to extending unemployment benefits to people who continue to be unemployed. BP oil spill, Jesse Jackson comments on Cleveland owner's remarks, Alicia Keys fell, somebody got married, blah, blah, blah.....

Why isn't someone focusing on telling people good news about where to find work or informing them about what to do about the tough choices they have to make - feed their family or lose the house! What are we paying these people for? There are resources available that will expand the limited choices available for sources of income.

If you feel that you have a hidden entrepreneurial spirit, give the following organizations a try:

WIBO - Workshop in Business Opportunities
"a private non-profit organization that is committed to assisting men and women with the drive to become successful entrepreneurs."

Project Enterprise: "The mission of Project Enterprise is to support and develop entrepreneurs and small businesses in under-resourced communities in New York City. By providing access to business loans, business development services and networking opportunities, these entrepreneurs are able to increase their standard of living, create jobs for their communities, and build financial assets."
